Radio Control Couplings

In certain applications where you would wish to mount the electric motor further back from the nose of the model, you need a propeller shaft, and coupling (rigid or universal) to transmit the drive. Two typical instances come to mind, both of which we have succesfully built and flown very well.
Rubber model "Majestyk" by Campbells custom kits, span increased to 34", all up weight 6oz. Any of the "KeilKraft" or "Veron" rubber Freeflight kits 30" span and above would also be perfect, as would many of the "Wakefield" class.	We fitted 8 - 50 ma Sanyo cells, GWS Micro RX, Jeti 050 ESC and brake, 2 Hitec Feather servos 9" folding propeller. Total weight was 6oz, complete with motor 7:1 gearbox. Trimmed to circle gently RH under power in 20/25 or 30 metre circles, gentle climb up to approx 150/200 ft takes around 11/2 minutes.

Typical flight sequence - Switch power off & transition into glide is smooth, & still in RH turns, which
open up to about 50 metre circles. Any tendancey for model to drift out of the cricket pitch or similar, was
corrected by one or two gentle dabs of rudder.
We get 2 good burns from each charge of our yellow Sanyo cells, IE 1st from hand launch & up
to +150 ft glide down to 30 or 40 ft, power on again back up to 150ft glide again down to say 40/50 ft, take
control and land.
Best flight so far, 10 mins 28 seconds 95% of which was "Freeflight".

The above info also applies to our model of the 38" span "Gladiator" pictured here. All up weight 71/4 oz other models such as "Scram", "the Answer", "Brigadeer" etc would work well at around 38 / 40" span,
